Miss Kitty
1 year old
Spayed Female
Miss Kitty is a calm and mellow cat who is looking for a like minded family. She and her kittens came to us from Solano County via our Pet Partnership Program, and, after her kittens were adopted, she went to live in a foster home so that she could recover from the trials and tribulations of young motherhood. She was comfortable living with other adult cats there so she would be fine with that arrangement again provided she is properly introduced. Miss Kitty was an excellent mom and now that she's ready to start her life as a single gal, it's her turn to find a wonderful home of her own. Some cats are the life of the party, and some are a little more reserved like our Miss Kitty. Not that she doesn't like having a good time; she just needs you to go slowly with her at first so that she has time to feel comfortable. Before you know it, her trust will build, and she will settle right in. What a nice kitty!

Casper
4 year old
Spayed Female

Meet Casper who IS a friendly ghost white cat! She is another victim of the economic times, but don't expect this intelligent beauty to cool her well furred heels for long here! It appears as if Casper has been an "only pet" for all of her life. Although she may appreciate some feline companionship, it might just be that she is set in her ways. She did live with a child so another well mannered young human might work out well too.

Jake
5 year old
Neutered Male
Jake is looking for a home where everyone will treat him nicely. His prior home had a bully cat that picked on him. Jake is a big gentle lap cat who enjoys being groomed. Jake lived in a house with bunnies that he loved to groom and nap with. Jake is a sweet, gentle boy who was very loved by his previous guardian, and has charmed all of us here at the shelter. Please see his previous guardian's write up at the adoption desk.

Ideal Home: Best in a home with high school age children or older

Conan
2 year old
Neutered Male

Conan the Barbarian? Not even close - try Conan the Sweetheart! Now that his "Romeo" days are behind him, this former ladies man is looking for a home where he can share his considerable charms with a family of his own. He is a gentle, affectionate cat who will gladly "tell" you all about his day when you get home, as he is quite the conversationalist. He was very tolerant of all the poking and prodding we did to him during his health check, but drew the line at having all his nails trimmed. No girly manicure for this guy! Before you know it, you will have a new best friend. What a nice boy!

Lizzie
9 year old
Spayed Female

Lizzie is dizzy from all the recent changes in her life. This pretty and shy older girl is affectionate, and at times verbal. She's mastered the art of trying to fade into the woodwork by curling into a tiny ball, her would-be tail tucked under her. However, she's just too cute to succeed. Lizzie warms up once she gets to know you. A quieter environment might be best for her as she returns to her favorite pastime: being a lap cat and sleeping. Smart girl.

Charlie
5 year old
Spayed Female

Charlie is a charm! This pretty tuxedo cat is curious and friendly and she loves to be groomed. We found her to be quite tolerant of handling during her evaluation, and we suspect she'll do fine in a busy household with children of any age. She lived with other cats in her previous home, so she may do well in a multi-cat household, as long as she gets plenty of attention. You'll want to shower Charlie with hugs and kisses once you discover what a love she is!

Ideal Home: Best in most any household with adjustment

Ginger Muffin
2 year old
Spayed Female

Ginger Muffin came to us as a stray from Novato. This youngster had a close brush with motherhood and now she's ready to move on to her next feline life. Ginger Muffin is a little shy and spooky when she finds herself in a new situation, but she recovers quickly with a bit of reassurance and petting. She likes to give head bumps and enjoys a friendly chat. Her markings are just beautiful and we think she's going to be a lovely and affectionate companion in the right home.

Lucy Marie
3 year old
Spayed Female

Sweet little Lucy-Marie has won us over! This tiny gem of a cat is gentle and compliant and loves to be cuddled and groomed. Lucy-Marie was found as a stray by her previous owner, who surrendered her to us because she was quite vocal. We have not observed any excessive vocalizing while Lucy has been here. Lucy would like nothing better than to find a new guardian, and perhaps some polite older grade school children, who will shower her with attention, toys, grooming and lots of lap time. We think Lucy-Marie is a real delight!

Hazel
9 year old
Spayed Female

The nice thing about having been around the block a bit is that you know exactly what you want out of life. Hazel would like a fireplace in the winter, a warm sunny window in the summer and an available lap year around. A few weekly sessions with a "cat dancer" toy wouldn't be amiss either. Finally, a moderate high quality diet is on the list. Hazel is an indoor only cat, or at least that is how she spent the first 9 years of her life. She did live with another cat her whole life, so she might be amenable to a feline companion. Since she hasn't lived with dogs in the past, and now probably isn't the time to start. Hazel is looking for her "forever" lap right now!

Zeva
1 year old
Spayed Female

Lovely little Zeva has spent some time this spring raising four rambunctious kittens, and now deserves a home to live in luxury for the rest of her lengthy life! Zeva settled into her foster home quite easily. She took the dogs in stride, although she would probably prefer to live with a mellow smaller dog who will respect her feline space. Zeva has some very specific requests: a clean litter box, a comfy bed, or even a window sill with a view, water, food and a horizontal cardboard scratching post. Don't bother with a vertical carpeted one, that isn't on her list! Visit her often, and bring a variety of toys to tempt her into play, that won't be very hard! Zeva spent time in two foster homes, and everyone who cared for her clearly loved her, please ask to read the foster reports on this young gal.

Hannah
3 year old
Spayed Female

Quiet Hannah loves people. She loves to sit on laps, snuggle and being groomed. Hannah loves, loves, loves people, but she is not so keen on other cats. Hannah has been with us two times before; it was with this last adoption we discovered she does not like other cats. Her first visit was due to her original owner having too busy of a schedule to include Hannah. But! This gives you the perfect opportunity to show Hannah what the good life can be like. You could be the one who discovers her hidden talents for playtime and her quiet ways of entering your heart. You could be the person to show her what a true Home can be like- a Home that will be with her even when her whiskers turn gray. And in return she will love you forever, she will purr so loud she will wake you up at night, she will be your secret keeper and she will make everyday brighter for you! Come and meet Hannah- she could be your one and only!
