The Marin Humane Society Shot Clinic is now
held four times a year.


Sunday, September 13 and Sunday, December 13
10 AM—noon

Rabies shots for dogs & cats —$5
Distemper boosters (DH2PP)—dogs $5
Distemper boosters (FVRCP)—cats $5
Bordatella for dogs—$10

Microchips
Cats—$15 or FREE (with purchase of vaccination
courtesy of the MHS Cat Fund, limit 2 per household)
Dogs—$25

Dogs must be on leash and cats in carriers.

 Cat Handling and Behavior Classes

Think behavior classes are only for dogs? Well, think
again ... our feline friends have unique personalities and behavior issues that can sometimes leave us scratching our heads!

In this hour-long workshop, Marin Humane Society cat behavior consultant Laura Hazard will address your most pressing questions and challenges including: flea combing, pilling, getting your cat in and out of a carrier, and nail trims. Laura will also discuss frequently encountered cat behavior issues such as urinating outside the litterbox, clawing furniture and biting. Don’t miss this fun and informative workshop!

MHS Thrift Shop is in Need of Donations!


Donate your unwanted jewelry, books, CDs, DVDs, knick knacks, etc. to the MHS Auxiliary Thrift Shop located at 360 San Anselmo Avenue in San Anselmo.

The shop has limited space – please no donations of computer or stereo equipment, large exercise or sports equipment. Seasonal (summer) clothing donations only.

By participating in books sales throughout the year, the Marin Humane Society is able to turn your used books into much needed resources for the shelter animals. Please donate your books, DVDs, CDs and books on tape (in good condition and less than 10 years old), and make a difference in the life of an animal in need.

Canine Behavior Academy


Saturdays, September 12 — December 12, 2009
(Skip dates: October 17 and 24 and November 28)

Instructor: Trish King, MHS Director of Behavior & Training, CPDT, CDBC

CBA is a weekly class for busy people who would like to become professionals in the Dog-Training world, or to learn more about the animals that accompany us through our lives.

Practical, usable information will be delivered in a relaxed, challenging atmosphere, using lecture, video and live dogs.  Students' dogs are welcome in most sessions.

Fee: $650 for 11 weeks.
Non-refundable deposit of $100 required to reserve a spot. Balance due by September 2.

Animal Communication Workshops with Marta Williams

Marta Williams is an animal communicator and biologist who lives in Northern California. She is also the author of the books Learning Their Language and Beyond Words. She lectures, teaches and offers consultations for animals by phone or email, worldwide.

Beginning/Intermediate Animal Communication
Saturday, July 11, 10 AM - 2 PM
In this hands-on workshop, Marta Williams will enable you to learn intuitive communication by doing it. Work with the animals that come to the workshop and with your animals at home, using pictures and descriptions. Learn techniques for talking to your own animals and hearing what they have to say to you. Explore your animal's purpose and role in your life.
Please leave your companion animals safely at home.

Talking with Nature and Manifesting for the Earth
Saturday, August 29, 10 AM - 2 PM
Join popular animal communicator Marta Williams for an exciting workshop that will incorporate exercises designed to use group energy to make a positive difference for MHS shelter animals, the shelter itself, individual needs and the whole world.
