The Julie Kaye Cat Fund

The Marin Humane Society’s Cat Fund was established in 1992 to improve the quality of life for Marin cats, to expand shelter cat services, and to reduce the number of homeless cats and kittens in our community.

This fund sponsors low-cost spay and neuter clinics throughout the county, provides funding for veterinary care to elderly cats 8 years of age and older as part of the Senior Partners Program, gives financial support to cats in need of emergency care, and much more.

After being hit by a car, little Gracie was barely alive when a kind stranger found her lying along the highway. Fortunately, the Cat Fund provides the financial support needed in a crisis. Emergency medical care revealed that one of Gracie’s front legs was severely damaged. The leg had to be amputated, but Gracie’s life was saved. When she was adopted by an older gentleman, two lives were enriched by the generosity of Cat Fund supporters.

The Cat Fund is supported entirely by community contributions.
