Currently, volunteer orientations are full
through the summer. The next available orientation is in September 2010.
The Marin Humane Society volunteers have the highly rewarding
opportunity to learn about and contribute to the welfare of animals and help seniors
with their pet needs. Join our family and share in our amazing success!
We welcome anyone (18 years and older) who
would like to volunteer their time and is interested in making a difference. We
ask for a one-year commitment of at least two to four hours a week per job. There
is an orientation session that includes a tour and introduction to the services
and philosophy of the Marin Humane Society, as well as a discussion of current volunteer
opportunities.
Volunteer opportunities for those under age 18 include our animal service clubs for middle and high school students, and internships for high school students. Please contact the Education Department at (415) 506-6288.
Also see Student Opportunities.
Please call or email our Director of Volunteer
Services at (415) 506-6267 for orientation information. Volunteer orientations
are held monthly and pre-registration is required.
Nearly 800 volunteers participate in Marin Humane Society programs.
