Family Dog II

Graduates of FD1 or equivalent. Hone the skills learned in Family Dog I through a variety of exercises that solidify your dog's good manners and focus on you in distracting situations. $140 for 6 weeks.

Graduates of FD2 or equivalent. Add significant distance, duration, and distractions to the Family Dog exercises. $140 for 6 weeks.

Small Dog 2

The same curriculum as Family Dog II, with fellow small-breed dogs only (25 lbs or under). $140 for a six-class series. (Pavilion or Classroom)

Town & Trail

Graduates of Family Dog II or equivalent, dog-friendly-dogs only or with instructor approval. Practical manners for when your dog accompanies you around town, on trails, or in the open space. Class meets off campus at six different locations. $140 for the series.

Tricks

Graduates of Family Dog 1 or equivalent. Attendance at the first class meeting is mandatory. Teaching your dog tricks is a great way to strengthen your relationship with your dog and build your dog's focus on you - and it's great fun, too! In this class you will learn fundamental behaviors that can be combined to create complex tricks suited to your dog, as well as a variety of ready-made crowd pleasers! $140.00 for the series. Two-Fers

Graduates of FD II or equivalent(two dogs per handler).offered twice-a-year, in fall and spring. A class for people who have trained their dogs individually and want to handle both at once. (12 dogs max) $150 for 6 weeks.

Workshop: Advanced Tricks

For graduates of Family Dog 1 and Family Dog Tricks, or equivalent. Spend an afternoon adding to your dog's trick repetoire. We'll build on their existing skills (spin, touch, target, etc.) towards more advanced and complex tricks. Pre-registration and a $35 fee are required to reserve your space in this workshop, which is limited to twelve dogs.

Workshop: After Eights

For dog-friendly senior dogs about eight years or older, or dogs slowing down for medical or other reasons. Graduates of Family Dog 1 or equivalent--if it was a while ago, it’s OK! Learn mind-stimulation games that keep life fun for dogs who don’t jump as high as they used to, as well how cues like touch, wait, and go-to-bed can help you and your senior dog through medical appointments, treatments, or just the aches and pains of every-day life. We’ll also introduce you to canine massage. Pre-registration and $35 are required to reserve a spot for this workship, which is limited to 10 dogs. (Pavilion)

Workshop: Dogs Just Want to Have Fun!

Graduates of Family Dog 1 or equivalent, dog-friendly dogs only, please! Tired of working on sit and stay day after day? Wanna spice up your dog's life when it's cold and wet outside? Come to this workshop to jump, run, and cavort your way through lots of fun exercises designed to put a little pep into the dog-days of winter. Pre-registration and $35 are required to reserve a spot for this workshop.

Workshop: Flyball

A two-hour workshop to introduce you and your dog to the basics of flyball, including its rules and beginning training exercises. Please call to discuss the prerequisites for the class and to reserve a spot. $15 per dog, space is limited and pre-registration is required. (Lawn)

Workshop: Freestyle

For graduates of Family Dog 1 or equivalent, dog-friendly-dogs only. An introduction to the sport and art that is Canine Freestyle, where you and your dog dance together! Learn basic Freestyle moves and techniques so that you and your dog can create a basic dance routine. Freestyle is lots of fun, and a great way to strengthen your relationship with your dog. Pre-registration and a $35 fee are required to hold your spot. Limited to ten dogs. (Pavilion)

Workshop: House Etiquette

Graduates of Family Dog 1 or equivalent, dog-friendly dogs only please. Promote peace, love, and understanding inside your home by teaching your dog the polite way to behave indoors! We'll focus on how you can manage your dog and modify the environment to deal with issues such as house training, chewing, doorbell aggression, and jumping up. And we'll show you how to encourage such courtesies as polite treat taking, standing for towel drying, and sitting for everything. Pre-registration and a $35 fee are required to reserve your spot. Limited to 12 dogs.

Workshop: Loose-Leash Walking & Recalls

Graduates of Family Dog 1 or equivalent. Spend an afternoon learning a variety of creative and practical excercises to help your dog walk politely on leash and come when called. Pre-registration and payment of the $35 fee are required to reserve a spot for this workshop, which is limited to ten dogs. (Pavilion & Lawn)

For graduates of Family Dog 1 or equivalent, dog-friendly-dogs only, please. Spend the afternoon working on loose-leash walking skills so that going out for a walk doesn't always mean going out for a pull! Pre-registration and a $35 fee are required to reserve a spot. Workshop: Tricks

Graduates of Family Dog 1 or equivalent. Spend an afternoon teaching your dog fun party tricks. We'll teach specific tricks while teaching basic techniques that will allow you to go home and teach your dog almost any trick you can think of! This workshop is best for those who have NOT taken tricks class before. If you have taken Tricks Class, look for our Advanced-Tricks Workshop. Pre-registration and a $35 fee are required to reserve a spot for this workshop, which is limited to twelve dogs.

Workshop: Tricks Teaser!

For graduates of Family Dog 1 or equivalent. Curious whether you and your dog would enjoy a Tricks class? Wanna learn some easy party tricks before the holidays? Our Tricks Teaser workshop is a fun introduction to the world of tricks, designed for those who have not yet taken a six-week tricks class. You’ll teach your dog a few different spins, a shake and/or wave, adorable paw tricks, a rollover and/or crawl, and, of course, a bow at the end! Pre-registration and a $35 fee are required to reserve your spot. Limited to 12 dogs.

Workshop: Two-fers Workshop

For graduates of Family Dog 1 or equivalent. Do you have two dogs? Would you like to learn how to handle them both at once? Spend the afternoon working on basic techniques to teach your dogs to respond to commands individually and together when they are both with you. Intended for students who have not taken our six-week Two-Fers class. Pre-registration and a $35 fee are required to reserve your spot. Limited to 12 dogs. (Pavilion)
