Don’t miss famed author and animal behaviorist Dr. Nicholas Dodman at the Marin Humane Society
An afternoon of animal behavior workshops plus, a book signing!
(NOVATO, CALIF., January 26, 2009) Learn about cat and dog behavior from world-renowned author and animal behaviorist Dr. Nicholas Dodman! Dr. Dodman will present two workshops at the Marin Humane Society on Saturday, February 21: A feline behavior A”CAT”EMY from 2-3:30 p.m. and a canine behavior “WOOF”SHOP from 5:30-7 p.m. In addition, a book signing will take place from 3:30-5 p.m.
Dr. Dodman of Tufts University is internationally recognized as a leader in the animal behavior field. He has written four bestselling books that have received a tremendous amount of national press: The Dog Who Loved Too Much, The Cat Who Cried for Help, Dogs Behaving Badly, and If Only They Could Speak. Dr. Dodman appears regularly on television, including: 20/20, Oprah, The Today Show, Good Morning America, Dateline, and Animal Planet.
For the feline A”CAT”EMY, Dr. Dodman will explore social interactions between cats, facial expressions and body language, causes of and treatment for litter box problems, how to avoid furniture scratching and dealing with obsessive-compulsive behaviors.
Topics for the canine “WOOF”SHOP include canine aggression, fears and phobias, dealing with compulsive disorders and treatment for these issues.
